Medieval and Scaligera Verona

Discovering medieval events and following in the footsteps of the Scaligeri. 

Verona's strategic position will determine its central role in controlling the territories of northern Italy following the fall of the Roman Empire and during the Roman-Barbarian kingdoms. 

With the rebirth, beginning in the year 1000, Verona will experience a new moment of economic and artistic development that will lead it to be one of the most flourishing city centers in the region and to the establishment of the Municipality. With time and the establishment of the Della Scala family, we will then observe the transition to the Scaliger dominion.

Underground Verona for Schools

This tour includes a guided visit to three underground archaeological areas located in the center of Verona and managed directly by Archeonaute. 

Three different sites in one itinerary to explore what remains, more than two thousand years later, of a very rich private residence at the gates of the ancient urban settlement, of the most important and monumental public temple in the city, as well as the remains of the defense walls with all their transformations, from the time of the Roman foundation until the Middle Ages.
